Course Requirements

The SPL Program offers both thesis and non-thesis options. In the thesis program, students are required to complete 7 credit-courses (2 must courses and 5 elective courses) and a Prothesis Seminar as well as write a conventional M.S. Thesis and write a dissertation of 10000-12000 words. In the non-thesis program, students are required to take 10 credit courses (2 must courses and 8 elective courses) and complete a term project. Upon the successful completion of the requirements of either program, a M.S. degree in Social Policy will be conferred.

During the application period, only the applications for the non-thesis program are accepted. During the first two semesters, theoretical courses may be offered to students by their academic advisors in order to help students to improve their capacity on social policy. Students can be transferred to thesis program upon their request and according to their academic performance at the end of the second semester.
